Charlottesville, VA@ Temenos Retreat Center
Presented by Kate Hudgins, Ph.D., TEP and Cathy Wilson, M.ED, MRN
Join Dr. Kate and a TSI Healing Action Team at Temenos Retreat Center for this first Residential International Woman’s Salon. You are meant to be at this workshop if you are still fighting the traumas of the past inside yourself, even after becoming professionally successful and/or creating trustworthy relationships. As we use TSM psychodrama, sociometry, and the expressive arts, we will find the strengths forged from the past and integrate them into every aspect of your life today.
TSM Psychodrama is based on the latest research on the neurobiology of trauma and happiness. We will share new and spontaneous experiences of healing and change as a group of women who can make a difference! We will also enjoy good food, great talks around the beautiful fireplace, and lots of self-care in a beautiful setting.
This workshop is limited to 8 women and Dr. Kate leads a team with Amy Stone and 3 other social workers as trained auxiliary egos to provide safety and support to complete the deepest level of trauma work possible. You will awaken to your gifts of spontaneity, creativity and most of all a future filled with hope and released from the past.

Regaining your Appropriate Authority, you then mirror for clients their transferences onto you as good/bad mother or father, et al. You’ll learn the ‘asocial response’, interrupting the cycle of projecting the past into current relationships, along with other action methods to diffuse and work through transferences onto yourself and other group members. Using TSM in practice cases you will learn action interventions that will keep your group healthy and high-functioning.

From Freud to Neurobiology: Two Psychodrama Models to Treat PTSD
Presented by Kate Hudgins, Ph.D, TEP and Carolina Becerril Maillefert, MD.
The Congress is planned at a time when we hear almost daily about a suicide attack or an act of violence somewhere around the world. Wars and warlike situations are ongoing and recurrent. There are now more refugees than ever before. In 2015 the UN estimated 65 million displaced people in the world.
The world we grew up in – post WW II – is changing dramatically and often violently. We as group psychotherapists and group processors are being called to bring our expertise to help us all cope with these Rising Tides and to instill ‘realistic hope’.
